Early Years Services

Having begun my career in early years settings, I have a lived understanding of the challenges and stress faced by staff working in the sector. I hold an MA in Early Childhood Studies as well as working as a creative psychotherapist. My approach is trauma-informed and child-centred and training or support can be tailored to the individual needs of your early years or afterschool setting. If you feel your setting could benefit from support, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Some recent training topics include:

  • The play Environment – planning for play in the early years.
  • Creative Learning in the early years – an exploration of creative learning opportunities.
  • Understanding sensory processing in childhood.
  • Understanding and responding to challenging behaviour in childcare settings.

Support for Staff

Niamh offers support and training for staff working with children. Are your staff seeking new ways of meeting challenging behaviour in the classroom or seeking new strategies to support both the children they work with as well as supporting themselves?

My approach is trauma informed and child-centred. I am flexible in my approach and recognise that each school is different, so talks and programmes can be tailored to your individual needs. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss today.
